The Outdoor Coalition is a regional alliance of outdoor enthusiasts, business leaders, non-profit organizations and land management agencies in Northeast Tennessee. The group is currently working to fund and create an Outdoor Development Strategic Plan for the Outdoor Development Program. The strategic planning process was initiated in February 2019. We've hosted several public engagement sessions and recreation workshops in partnership with GreenPlay, LLC and the National Park Service's RTCA Program. We aim to clearly define program goals and initiatives, build relationships with partners, learn about ongoing and potential projects to support and identify all outdoor recreation assets in the region.

We are also proud partners of the AppalachiaCARES AmeriCorps program and host an AmeriCorps member annually to focus on environmental stewardship of our natural resources. As we encourage more outdoor recreation activities, we aim to balance the impacts. Our focus on environmental stewardship involves many great partners.
